exsample on web site

on the thing were ya'll were explaining on the web site, to let other users know there still on my site, is this how I do it on the repeated backgrounds? ok the other thing is like my dolls and globes and ect.
do I add them th my image page to? or can I just put them on there own pages? I know the site is still screwy, but I am still trying, thanks :)

color=blue]Yeah, That's the ticket!! [/color] one option - You could copy the home page to every page in your site and put the snow globs, asc art etc into that middle box. Another option - copy past, just bg into every page, another- copy/past just links/buttons to every page. Use what you have on home page as a template, in fact save it as "template ows" for futher use, maybe? I like that home page!

If you are going to use any image more than once, put it into the image folder, as, once it is loaded, it will be called from the users cach and will not have to load again. For organization purposes, put all images in there, that way all linkls will be of a similar set up. and you will know where your images are.

tip - When I sart a site, I create a folder on my desktop ( could be anywhere) and name folder "mynew site", inside that folder, I have these 7 folders, images, flash, text, sounds, master_files, not used and other. ( and add folders as needed)

coool I like blue, hmmm the images folder can you tell me were to put that please? lol no smartys just in case that didn't sound right that happens to me all the time, I have a image folder on my file manger, not sure if it is right. thank you :)

Things are taking shape nicely. I looked at some of your pages and I'm really tossed between the blue layout and the purple. They are both gorgeous colors.

But, as Richard said, best to decide on the one you like best and just copy it to your other pages. Then, you can put the content (globes, dolls, etc.) in the center panel and leave the background, header and navigation the same.

One thing you could do is to maybe bold or change the color of the text of the page that people are on in the navigator. For example. If they are on your "globes" page, you might take off the link for that page on the navigator and make the text a different color or bold it so that folks know exactly what page they are on.

You can create an images folder in the same directory on your server where you website is located to call your images up from or you can create an images page in WS to call the images up from (as per Gene's Web Studio tutorial). On mine, I use the WS page and it works fine. :D

I love blue lol, on bolding the text I seen what your talking about on web site and I thank there so neat, but I am not sure how to do that, I know how to use the bold by pressing the B, but the way your talking about when it click I don't know how to do that, mabey you can help? when you get time please? my house is a disaster, there are people I don't even know, I have ten of my friends here, and I catch my self in a dase, I love the holidays but can get a bit loud and crowded for me, mom said to tell you she said hi, bye all take care, i'll be back on tomarrow night, soposed to go and help my aint with he pc that is her first one, lol

Hi Crystal,

What I meant with the links and bolding was this ...

Take your first page, "album". On that page, take the link off of the word "album" in the navigation list. Then highlight the word "album" and use the "bold" key from the dropdown at the top of WS.

Then, on the next page, do the same thing on that page. If it's Ascii Art 1, take the link off Ascii Art 1, highlight the words and bold it.

What this does is it lets people know what page they are on at any given time at your site.

If you don't want to bold the text, you can change the color ... anything that will indicate to people that they are on a particular page.

If I'm not explaining this clearly (which I sometimes have trouble doing), if someone could jump in and explain it better, I'd appreciate it! :D

My Thanksgiving was "quiet" ... just the way we like it!!! :D

My husband, Ken, and I went out for a lovely dinner at a restaurant. We sat right near the burning fireplace and it was VERY warm and cozy. Food was great! Doesn't make much sense for me to cook for just the two of us.

I can't believe that Christmas is so close. We usually get about a week to make the adjustment from one Holiday to the other. But, with the late Thanksgiving this year, it seems that one ends and the other begins immediately!

Right now I'm trying to clean and decorate at the same time!!!!

I know what you mean about finding time for your website this time of year. I have some Christmas things to add to mine, but just haven't found the time this week. Maybe by the beginning of next week, I'll get there.

true on christmas is so near and I know I am not over thanksgiving yet, there is still some messes mom and dad is cleaning up, I helped but I wanted to reply back to my replys, :) mom said she was going to buy me
a new boom box and I seen a cross neckles with matching ear rings I wanted lol, but I know one thing for sure, I want to see some white snow,
on christmas day :). I can not work anymore on my site untill after school monday, mom said we still had to much stuff to do, aaarrrrrrgggggggg
