This may not seem like a big deal to anyone, but you don't know what we went through. Right, Helen! ;) But, it was all worth it!!!! btw, Helen ... I also played with putting a news item in and I did my first Dutch auction. So, we'll see how all of this stuff works. Keep your fingers and toes crossed!

It was funny. When I went into the header to put my background in manually and also to put in my hovers and link color, it put them in on the first page of the auction. But, I notice on the headers of other pages, the hovers and link colors are different. They're nice. Just different colors. Wonder why when you change the colors in the header that they are different when the header is exactly the same on every page?

At this point, as long as it works and as long as the colors are appealing, I'm leaving well enough alone!

Sure, Ho, but they are strictly for South Park stuff ...

Wow, that is Really cool! Is that set up with a RS form?

Pretty much. You have to go into the files to put in any header script for hovers or whatnot, background, and alternate colors, if you want. But, most of it can be done from an admin control panel. It's really easy.

The hardest part is completely redoing the category trees. Especially in my case, since it has to correspond with SP items. But, once you get the hang of it, it's easy!

That is a fabulous job Karen!

I love the payment option you have there for "cashier's checks or carefully concealed cash".

Richard, she started out with the Auction program we install for you guys.
Take a look at the Auction program demo listed under "What's New" and
you will have a whole new appreciation for how much she has been able
to do with it.

We are all so proud of you, lady! Now you need to write a short tut for us
on how you did all that. :D

Hey guys,

Believe it or not, Helen, you can add in whatever payment services on-line that people use. I was trying to think of some of the ones that people use on eBay. I know about BidPay, though I am not a member and I think there was one called NoChex (but I have to look on eBay and see if I have that one right. You can add any payment methods to the list that you want. When someone posts an auction, they can check whichever ones they want to use.

The links thing is the strangest. There must be like 20 different places that you have to change the link colors in that script. I thought that doing it in the header, right after the head, where the body begins was where you put all of your color choices, but in this thing, there are obviously other places where you have to do it again. Like I said, though, my days of fiddling around in the files is done. While you're trying to improve one thing, you can be lousing up 12 others, if you don't know what you're doing.

But, I guess it's all a learning experience.

I sat back yesterday and thought ... for the first time, I have EVERYTHING on my own site ... no outside services (like Bravenet or whatever). I was really proud of myself. Especially knowing as little as I still do about HTML, javascripts and the like.

I also had someone submit a photo for my gallery. Of course, he sent a photo of himself rather than any South Park collectibles. He was from a non-English speaking country and saw "photos" and "send" and just sent it along. Too funny! But, at least folks want to contribute and participate and that's cool!

And, folks are loving T.C.'s Hangman game. I enjoy that one myself! He did an outstanding job on that.

All in all, I'm feeling good about the whole thing. :dance2:

(Hmmm ... Fred found some new smilies, I see!)

Finally had a chance to go thru the "what's new stuff" and WOW! Group web sites, blogs, database sites - very impressive Fred and Helen!!

Question on image gallery, could some images be loaded so we could see it in action?

I don't have a lot of photos, at least not sure where they are...

think I did a windows reinstall since then. But anyone who does and
wants to play with it, just go to the demmo and load it up! Have some
fun with any of the demos you guys would like to try... that's why we
put them up.

 In fact, if anyone wants to write a little tutorial on any of them,
we'll put it in the Webmasters' Idea Bank page.

Anyone up for that :?:

Richard,

I have loads of photos and thumbs of my collectibles. I loaded 4 of them into the photo management demo so you can play with it. At the login on the demo page, just put in admin and password: admin!

Just delete them when you're done!
