Jan, that's amazing...
Ok, I gotta put in my Star Trek entry...yup...I'm a Trekker...
http://www.longislandbicycles.com/images/ball15.gif
I hope we decided not to do this for a prize. I think someone mentioned it earlier. I gotta quit this. I have clothes in the washing machine that should have been put in the dryer 4 hours ago.

Thanks Jan...I agree...I'm not in it for a prize either...if it comes down to that, I stated it on the first day this contest was brought up, that if a prize were offered and I happened to win by some remote chance, it would go straight to my favorite charity, which is the Leukemia Foundation...

familiar :)

Keep it up Helen and Nikki! Helen...stop being modest...they're great! Keep going...
I can't seem to get a transparency right on this board...here's one more test, if not I give up!
http://www.longislandbicycles.com/images/ball22.jpg
On edit: Nope...doesn't work for me...it's saved with a transparent background...I tried it as bot a gif and a jpg, but neither works...so what's the trick I'm missing folks?

Hi Joe, keep going! I found a huge petpetual tree!
Jpg's don't support alpha layers ( transparency), gifs do, but posting them here seems to chnge them. Try exporting as a png. If they aren't trans, don't worry about it, white, black or 009933 will be ok.
Crystal - can you write a tut on how you are getting them to work here, some work others don't.
Shane
12-08-2002, 03:35 PM
yes crystal, please explain I tried but it was just confusing
Helen
12-08-2002, 03:43 PM
HA Joe! Look at you, telling me not to stop making ornaments.... then
you are gonna quit??? Uh-uuuuhhhhh! :D
That's a great idea, a "Crystal Tut" may solve the transparency problem.
Now, what are we going to do about my"design-challenge"
problem?
BTW Joe (and others, including me  ): The huge horizontal scrolling
here may be due to putting no spaces after ...... in a string of words,
according to Mary earlier when it happened.
Example, you just wrote:
Nope...doesn't work for me...it's saved with a transparent background...I tried it as bot a gif and a jpg, but neither works...so what's the trick I'm missing folks?
On edit... very interesting... as soon as I submitted that, the horizontal scrolling stopped... I apologize, Joe!!
FTP Guy

Hey Shane - your stocking. Guinness make some excellent promotion stuff don't they. After buying several cases of tinned draught I had a collection of the stuff. Rugby balls, punch bags and all. Best was the inflatable armchair with can holder. I have a huge paddling pool and sat floating in the armchair last summer. I'm waiting for the inflatable sofa and TV for next summer.
Shane
12-11-2002, 06:42 PM
Yep Karen.....it's a fuzzy slipper off the guinness website, jammies would be a great idea......
TC they have some great stuff...i got one of those inflatable chairs too.....great fun...TV & inflatable mini bar would be a great idea! My brother who lives in Cheshire built himself a pub in the garden of his house outta a builders porta cabin office thing. Made it look like a log cabin outside, lounge bar inside, seats about 20 he wrote to Guinness with a photo they sent him a box full of stuff......Jack Daniels did too......he tried to buy a pub sign off the Budwieser website (they sell customised ones to order), his pub is called 'The Drunken Duck', they emailed him saying they did not promote drunkeness and refused to do it :D :D He wrote back telling them its cool, sorry for asking and the Ducks now in rehab :D :D
Mr T.C.
12-11-2002, 07:58 PM
Sounds like your bro is mad! Great stuff. Budwieser don't promote drunkeness? :?
I was never keen on Budwieser, can't taste the stuff. I'm much more a Stella Artois man. Budwieser is for beer drinkers that don't like the taste of beer. Ha - that comment might be enough to get me kicked off here.

Funny :D There is a pub in Warrington called The Angel.......wouldn't recommend it though, bit rough....and not too many Angels in there......
'Rawk and Roll'..............no thread is safe lol
Yeah Crystal hope you are on the mend.........
Stella is cool TC & nice when its cool :D , agreed on the Bud...... If you go to Florida at Busch Gardens you can go see how it's made, taste some other Bud stuff (very different from the rubbish they send here) and they go make yourself feel sick on the worlds largest all wood roller coaster...great fun. Anheuser-Busch who make Bud make Michelob too, that's a bit better i think but not a favourite either........

Hello!
I am writing this for my daughter Crystal, I am taking her off the board she was in her room crying and would not tell me what was wrong untill
I kept asking her about it, she made you all a gift from her heart sence
she don't have the money to buy you all somthing, she said when she placed it on the board she got one comment on it, she said she called it the angels are watching, and guess what? *surprize* they really are,
she is only 13 and wanted so much to blend in with all of you, I understand
your smut talk but that could have been more private, I seen some of the post and I diagree, I am a mother of two and I allowed her to join ya'll in this forum, but she needs to join a cleaner forum, she needed help with her site I am greatful for the help ya'll gave her, for the site, but the sex and booze smut is not what I call help, I will give ya'll a thing to think about, exsample, wtc- Jesus -Hell- wars- and yet you post that smut
infront of my daughter, she made you all somthing special and ya'll turn it around for her, she removed it from this post because of the smut talk,
I will find or hope to find a more family help forum for her, I will probely
get alot of hate mail from ya'll but thats ok I am watching out for my daughter's,
Rita
Mr T.C.
12-11-2002, 11:12 PM
No hate mail likely to come from anyone here. I was not aware of a recent 'gift' graphic. I must have missed that one. Crystal has real talent and is very much liked - I could find COUNTLESS posts here from folk saying how talented her stuff is. People here have paid a lot of attention to graphics Crystal makes. Crystal is a lovely person - she blends in great and I know I'll miss her. Didn't know we were all such bad guy's here  I'm sure there are a lot worse places a young person could go on the Internet.
On edit: I'LL MISS YOU CRYSTAL
Shane
12-11-2002, 11:46 PM
I'll miss Crystal too, she is a very talented lady.
As for 'smut talk' or 'hate mail' I am absolutely speechless & and am offended to be accused of such. Neither smut nor hate mail would be tolerated here. If I for one felt I had anything to apologise for I most certainly would. I haven't.
Mr T.C.
12-12-2002, 12:03 AM
The Internet is used by all sorts of people and from around the whole world. Crystals mum considers alcohol to be smut and evil yet a few weeks back we had a French family staying with us and the two daughters (both MUCH younger than Crystal) drink wine with every evening meal. Kids in France grow up on the stuff. There is no answer. Crystals mum must do whatever SHE thinks best. It is a mums job to control where kids go and what they do on the Internet. Calling us "smutty" was wrong of her. It would have been better to accept that this Forum is used by adults.
Flash ho
12-12-2002, 12:04 AM
Rita - We will all miss Crystal. If you read thru the posts, you will find that nothing but encouragement has been given to her and her posts get tons of positive feedback.
This thread may have gotten off topic, but certainly not "r" rated. Lighten up. You have exaggerated what has been said. A friendly talk about beer is pretty harmless. A sex, booze and rock n roll comment is tongue in cheek ( a parody, an attempt at humor) . So, please re read the posts.
FTP Guy
12-12-2002, 12:07 AM
Hmmm...I don't know what to say. Crystal is very much liked and appreciated here, and her talents are tremendous for someone of her age. And she has taught us all a thing or two herself.
I also did not see this "angels" gift that she posted but I'm sure it was beautiful, as all her artwork is. I wish she didn't remove it. I hope someone has been collecting her artwork for our "cyber tree" because she worked real hard on it, and it deserves to be on there...
I'll miss you Crystal...hope the "pox" have all cleared up and you're feeling better soon.
Rita, I'm sure you have her best interests in mind...we wish you well...your daughter is very talented...I'm sure you'll find an outlet for her creative mind somewhere on the web....

I think everyone knows that my parents get weird about stuff too and it's silly because this is church talk compared to what we hear at school every day. I have volunteered to drop out so I won't be exposed to that stuff, but they won't go for it.
FTP Guy
12-12-2002, 01:28 AM
Nikki, you could also volunteer to shut off your TV set...what could be a worse influence on a young mind?
Hello Rita,
I've never visited this particular forum, but I've been to the site lots of times. I'd be willing to say Lissa's forum is for kids. Here is the forum addy I'm referring to:
http://www.lissaexplains.com/
Yep, tv and school exposes kids to everything you don't want your kid to see or know. But, it's the values we, as parents, instill in them that paves their future..........not a forum such as RightStuff.
Finally, I'm sure some parents wish their children were interested in the computer rather than the all the temptations on the street, which young folks have to face. And believe me, there is not a kid around that will be sheltered from exposure to life's rough elements no matter what their parents try and do.
