View Full Version : MAX WIDTH ON SIGNATURE GIFS

It was brought to my attention that a lot of people here are viewing with 800 x 600 resolution. Some of the width of gifs in signatures is causing a lot of horizonal scrolling to view posts. I did not notice this because I view with a high resolution.

We ask that all those who have gifs to PLEASE REDUCE THE SIZE to a MAXIMUM 500w x 175h. This will also reduce the amount of bandwidth. With the number of posts we have, that number can get rather large and we do not want to delete any old posts to reduce the file size if we can help it. Thank you for your cooperation.

Oops, that was me. My bad ...

I surf in high resolution too! Took it off! Next year, I'll try to remember to shorten it, before I put it up. :|

You're OK, Crystal ... You know the Christmas lights and the banner that Shawn has right above his name? Those are signature banners. Mine was a line of blinking Christmas lights. Well, it was a wee bit bigger than 500 pixels and so it caused a horizontal scroll bar at the bottom of the page. This meant that everybody who visited the forum had to scroll to the right side in order to read the posts and it gets a bit annoying to have to do that. So, we just had to fix it. All fixed. Well, mine anyway.

But, you're fine. Don't worry about it! :D
