Thanks to all those who took part in the "RightStuff Hosting Holiday Tree Ornament Contest". Richard used his talent to show the works of others that we will keep and display for many years on the IdeaBank page. Our sincere thanks to all the elves that helped in the selection process. Some ornaments could not be used because of the file size , especially the animated ones. In future contest, we will need to restrict the file size because of bandwidth usage.

There are so many great charities and people in need that it is impossible and unfair to determine who is the most needy. Helen and I have decided that the money for 3rd place be sent to the Coal Fund. I found this link while checking to see if they have a web site so I could send money via credit card if that was available. They have no site. (Jan, here is an opportunity for you). For those who may want more information on Coal Fund, here is what I found on the Net -
http://www.appalachianfocus.org/_pov02/0000003e.htm
I will send a check to them tomorrow

I tried to complete the Donation form on the St Jude Site -

https://www2.stjude.org/ways_to_help/make_a_donation/ However, the form gave me an error message and said contact administrator. I will call them tomorrow and try again and print the confirmation here.
:holidays:
ON EDIT: I was successful today with the donation to St. Jude Hospital. I sent a copy of the confirmation from Marlo Thomas to Crystal.

The check was also sent to the Coal Fund today 12/26.

Please read about the Coal Fund here. It's on the 1st page. This is from last night's paper (they update the newpaper daily on this page), so I hope it will be available when you look at it.

It's a local effort started many years ago.

Thanks,

Crystal

I'd just like to say thanks to everyone too and mention how proud we all
are of Crystal and Jan for donating their prizes to such wonderful causes.

I have added the Holiday Tree Contest site to the Webmasters Idea Bank
page for "posterity". You can just click the links under the "RSH Forum

Richard,

It was in last nights paper. With today being a holiday, the newspaper went out early this morning. They put the paper online this morning so it's gone.

I'll keep searching in the archives and as soon as it comes up, I'll let you know. In the meantime, I'm gonna try and scan it to post here.

Point me in the right direction to get it from the temp. and I'll grab it.

I believe it will be in the Greeneville Sun Archive within a day or 2.
