View Full Version : Can't get into Neomail

Since last night, I haven't been able to get into Neomail. I've never had any problem with it before and the rest of the cPanel functions seem to be fine.

I'm getting one of those "page can not be displayed" messages, and then it says the site may be having technical problems or that I should check my browser settings. I've rebooted and checked things and it looks fine to me. I'm not having any problems with my browser anywhere else.

Any ideas of what could be going wrong? Thanks!

Josh :(

I spoke too soon about everything else in the cPanel being okay. Now I can't get in to any of it. Now, after the password prompt, I get the above error message.

Thanks for any help.

Hmmm, I'll check it out. I can't bring up your site, either. My problem may be a problem caused by these crazy firewalls they installed at work.

Thanks, Fred!

The site is coming up alright so I guess it could be your firewall.

I tied the CP again. This time it opened, but not to the home page. Instead, it opened the "Account Information" page. When I tried to get to the home page from there, it bugged out again.

Don't know if this information is helpful in narrowing down the problem, but thought I should pass it along.

Ok - I just checked again before I sent a ticket to our tech - I can now access your site and it appears your cpanel is working along with your email. In my case with our LAN connection, I have to connect through a proxy server. If I don't go through proxy, I can't access some sites - weird that the proxy connection should be more restrictive.

If you still are having problems, try clearing your cache and reboot your cpu. I hope that fixes the problem

Sorry, Fred. Did the above and still no luck.

I'm back to being able to get in, but the error message still comes up when I click on the Neomail graphic.

I hate these office firewalls - I can read a post but can't post a message unless I set to proxy. If I set on proxy, I can't log in other sites.

Anyway - I just checked and your mail is accessible. I could not log in Neomail the normal way with "username@internetprofitwizards.com". I could log in with just "username" and "password". We were told that you could get access using that method. That is strange because that never would work for me. You do have mail.

Hi Josh... I just came online.

I can bring up your website just fine. I can get into your Cpanel, just fine. I can check your Neomail from within your Cpanel. I can also access your NeoMail with http://internetprofitwizards.com:2095/ and without using the full email addy, just the user name and password. (You have 11 messages)

About seeing the Account info upon entering CPanel: That did not happen on yours, but it did happen to me once on ours. Clicking the browser back button seemed to bring up the normal appearance and it was fine after that.

I have an email from Fred on it, which I just forwarded to you. It seems he can not post here now for some reason either.

I have one possible idea: We have a new email system, Horde, which I have not gotten details on yet. It does require full email addy... is it possible that you are being directed there instead of NeoMail when you type in the full email addy? Since that is probably not configured yet for your email... I can see why you might get a "page not found" error.

We will keep investigating this for you.

Thanks, Helen.

I WAS able to get in using the link you gave. But I still can't get in going the normal route (into cPanel, clicking on webmail, clicking on neomail).

Since I CAN get in, you can put this on low priority.

Thanks, And Thanks, Fred too!

Josh :)

That sounds better. Try this, Josh:

Go into your CPanel; under eMail, click Manage Accounts. Then click on Read Webmail. Then click on NeoMail Logo.

How does that work for you :?:

That sequence worked, Helen. So, just to see, I tried my usual sequence - and that worked too.

Seems to be straightened out now. I'll keep you posted.

Thanks for your help. :)
