View Full Version : More Problems With Both E-Mail & Cpanel
Hi guys. :(
I'm having trouble again. Of my four hosting accounts, I can only get into the e-mail and control panels for one of them. The one I can access is http://maumeecabco.com with the appropriate numbers on the end. The three I cannot get into (either email or Cpanel) are http://www.benjaminswonderfullife.com and http://www.coolbeansdesigns.com and http://www.gods-servant.com. I'm able to poll my cbdesigns email in outlook, but my clients use webmail and not outlook, and I can't get into the cpanels, so this is a pretty big problem.
Any ideas about what's going on?
Thank you!

DJ, Here are the results of my tests:
I can only test email addys on main email accounts as I don't know
passwords for others. I had no problem at all accessing any of your
CPanels using http://yourdomain.com/cpanel
gods-servant.com
CPanel entry ok; Clicked Manage webmail; Main Account NeoMail never
been configured to use; No trouble logging in to servegod@gods-servant.com at Horde from the Horde Logo.
http://rightstuffhosting.com:2095/
Login Info not accepted for servegod@servegod@gods-servant.com
(Maybe new email password for main account?)
-------------------
benjaminswonderfullife.com
Main email account, benslife@benjaminswonderfullife.com No trouble;
Same results as above with CPanel; no trouble logging in to Horde from
http://rightstuffhosting.com:2095/
------------------------
coolbeansdesigns.com
No trouble entering CPanel; no trouble opening Neo Mail or Horde for
main email account within CPanel. No trouble accessing main email
account at http://rightstuffhosting.com:2095/
------------------------------------
Everything seems to be working fine for me that I have passwords to
access, so I have no reason to think that all the email boxes would not
work as well.
Maybe I don't understand what problem you are experiencing?
I was able to access all of the cpanels and all Horde Webmail that you listed. I sent test messages without any problems on my end. You you cannot access, you may have a firewall restriction.
A reminder to all - you can access the cpanels by http://yourdomain.com/cpanel
and by
http://64.246.42.19:2082
or by
https://64.246.42.19:2083
A window should appear for User Name and Password. I say should because I have a firewall on a proxy server at work that will not allow me to access in some cases. I get "page can't be displayed". I have to bypass the proxy server to sign on.
For mail -
go through cpanel and click Webmail - remember use Horde -
or
http://64.246.42.19:2095 POPUP window appears - type Username@domain.com and Password
NOTE- YOU MUST USE FULL ADDY WITH HORDE.
You will be given a choice between NeoMail abd Horde - use Horde.
Another window will appear with the user/password again. That first window with NeoMail and Horde listed will probably be gone next month and you should have only the one window - - no promises.
:guitar:
REMINDER - STOP USING NEOMAIL!
Hi Fred! Thanks again for your help! Check your e-mail!
My clients dont' have access to their cpanels, so they need to be able to access their webmail by going to theirdomain.com:2095 or whatever other page might let them login.
This is really strange, but for some reason, the gods-servant.com:2082 just prompted me to login when I accidentally went to it. WEIRD! WEIRD! WEIRD!
I don't know what's up with gods-servant. No pwords have been changed or anything. You're probably getting one of the same problems I'm getting. The strangest thing about it is sometimes it happens, and sometimes it's fine. One day I can log in to one account without problems and the next day I can't, but can get into anotehr. Do you remember the other day when I asked you waht was up with maumeecabco.com and when you checked it out it worked for you, and so I went back to check it out and after days of not working, it suddenly worked? I'm experiencing the same problems with my other accounts, sporadically.
Thank you againfor your help!

Whenever anyone comes to me at work with a computer problem. I always tell them to reboot and clear cache. 90% of the time that is all that is needed. What can I say - :angry1:
