Hi everyone,
Just wanted to drop in and say hi. Now I'm going to have to make sure I check both message boards everyday. A friend of mine wants a web site so I told them they could pay for the hosting for me and the domain name and I would build the site. They're pretty much making out on the deal. When I have it up I'll post the address.
Take care everyone and have a sparkling day!
Terry
A welcome sight you are. Glad to have you. You will see a lot of familiar names here. So grab that hot chocolate, tea (I know you prefer tea to coffee) or brew and enjoy the visits.

Thanks Fred. I just have one problem. I uploaded my web site but I'm not sure what the url is. I have gotten a domain name on namezero.com of reikibutterfly.com. But I need the actual web address to set it up it is really I believe a redirect. I was hoping you could check and see the files I uploaded and give me a clue as to what my url address would be. Sorry I'm feeling really dense right now. Gotta finish this my lights are starting to flicker, we're supposed to get thunderstorms. Thanks, Terry.

Hi Terry, WELCOME!
It'll be great to start seeing you post here. How's little baby Dylan doing these days? Did he get lots of Easter goodies? :)

I'm not sure I understand your question. Your account is "botiff.com". Are you trying to redirect "reikibutterfly.com to "botiff.com"? If so, that is done on the reikibutterfly.com url.
or
Are you trying to put that as a subfolder on botiff? "http://botiff.com.com/reikibutterfly/index.html
or
Do you want to split your account space? I mean, do you want to move "reikibutterfly.com over to your space with RSH? If so, I would need to create that account name here and you would upload the site folders to that site as you would botiff. Botiff could have 80% and reikibutterfly could have 20% or whatever. There is no extra fee.

Yes I do need to split the account space. Right now I would just be putting on the reikibutterfly.com web site. My botiff.com is on the free space I get with my isp at the moment. What I'm saying is with namezero.com who I have my domain with I have to put the actual url on there and it redirects to botiff.com. So I would need the actual url for reikibutterfly.com so I could set it up. Am I making sense?

Hi Dusty,
Dylan is doing good. Running all over the place. I figure with what he got for Easter, he'll be hyper until Christmas.
Terry
OK I think I understand.. However by changing the name server on botiff.com to the RSH server, you would need to upload that site here also or it will disappear. If you want it to stay on your current free host, you need to put the name server back like it was. I will create a new account for reikibutterfly.com. You will need to upload those folders to the public-html folder on this site as soon as I create it - doing it now.

Thanks so much Fred. Sorry to be such a pain in the you know what. I never did change the nameserver for botiff.com just for the reikibutterfly.com
Not a problem - the account is created. You should have gotten the email with the new login info. Nothing will show on that botiff account unless you change the nameserver. For that space to be useful, we will have to change the name to something else if you aren't moving. I could change that account to http://botiff.rightstuffhosting.org and you could use that space for testing unless you just want to wait till you get another domain name to use.
Getting late - need my beauty rest. No comments Dusty.

Sorry to butt in but maybe this will help....
If you got reikibutterfly.com from namezero, here is some info on how to
change the name servers to RSH:
(Scroll down page, look under topic "I bought a domain. What do I do next? Web Hosting.")

I guess it looks like I need to wait 72 hours.

You can upload right now, but will not see your site online until the domain
name propagates across the internet. That will take 0-72 hours; how long
just depends on the registrar. So you need to do the name server change now as well to get that waiting time started.

Hi Helen,
I did the nameserver change yesterday. So I guess I just wait a little while now. When it finally goes through then I should just be able to go to http://www.reikibutterfly.com is that correct? For the other page links would it be www.reikibutterfly.com/pagename.html
I'm so sorry to be such a pain.

Yes you are correct Terry.
I posted a thought in the other thread too. Possibly more time is needed
for this name since you only changed the nameservers yesterday.
But it sort of "acts" like this name is being redirected rather than a name
server change done. Any possibility of that?

I had started out signing up with botiff.com but Fred changed that for me. Because I get free space from my isp and I use that for botiff.com at the moment. In the future if I get more domain names can I add them if I have the space. I have some friends that want me to do web sites and they will want a domain name. And if I can I have to email RSH to have them do that. Is that correct? Right now I will just have reikibutterfly.com through RSH but I hope in the future to have more. Sorry for all the questions. But my mom always said the more questions you ask shows a good mind. I don't know maybe she's going senile. :D

NEVER worry about asking questions! :)
That Index listing page on Apache is not showing up now.
I just checked whois and the nameservers are correct for
reikibutterfly.com, so must be we need to wait a bit more.
Yes, Fred can split your web space up for you when you
need it, as long as you have enough space to go around.
I know he will appreciate any new biz you send him too. :)
