Hi Crystal,
My PSP7 does that to me, too. I noticed that it does that when I have been working for a while and I think it has something to do with the unlimited 'undo' feature because with PSP6, I never had this problem. Hopefully, they will get it all worked out in version 8.
My fix is to just save often!

hiya SpoonFrog,
I just installed psp when, because of other problems I had,
but when I try to do a little it closes almost right away, I guess
I have to use 8 then, but I still need to learn everything in it,
thanks, :)

Hey there Crystal,
Yeah, it shouldn't be crashing like that. I am not too sure what error I get when mine does it because I try to not let it happen. Maybe you should contact Jasc and tell them what your issue is. Maybe they have a patch or a simple 'fix it' solution for your problem.
on edit: I believe that my issue has something directly to do with PSP because it does it on both my computers.

here is a site I went to it seemd to work so far,
http://www.jasc.com/custcare/viewresult.asp?Aid=369&kb=PSP7&QueryID=655911&AN=PSP7230
the url is long but that is were it is,
Kernel32.dll Error when trying to use Paint Shop Pro.
--------------------------------------------------------------------------
Issue
Due to the susceptibility of software to corruption, sometimes areas of the Windows Registry are damaged during the installation of software, illegal operations, improper shutdowns and general use.
Like any other program Paint Shop Pro can be effected by these corruptions. In such a case a user may experience a shutdown of Paint Shop Pro due to an invalid page fault in module KERNEL32.dll. If this occurs the Windows registry settings for Paint Shop Pro must be deleted to allow Paint Shop Pro to rewrite them. After deleting the registry settings, the next time Paint Shop Pro is launched, it will behave like a fresh installation.
Resolution
Before you begin with the process detailed below remember instructions for editing the registry are intended for experienced users only. The Windows Registry is at the core of the operating system (OS). Errors made in editing the registry could damage your OS beyond repair resulting in loss of data and a required reinstallation of the OS.
If while you are in the registry you make an error you catch right away, immediately turn the computer off. Do NOT close the registry editor, do NOT go to Start . Shutdown. Simply hit the switch to turn off the computer or cut off power to it. This will cause Windows to load from the backup registry it makes every time it shuts down properly, hence the mistake you made will not have saved in the registry and your computer should boot as it did previous to your editing.
If you're uncomfortable with editing the registry you should take these instructions to an experienced Windows technician or contact Jasc Technical Support Team at 952-930-9171 who will be happy to walk you through the process of editing the registry.
To back up your registry, click Start > Run, and type in REGEDIT. When the Registry Editor opens, choose Registry > Export Registry File, choose a filename and location to save the file, then click Save. The program will automatically add a REG extension to the specified filename. This file can serve as a backup if necessary.
Now click the plus sign [+]next to the following:
HKEY_CURRENT_USER
Software
Click the Jasc folder to highlight it and press the delete key on your keyboard, then confirm the deletion when prompted. After deleting the Jasc folder, you can close the Registry Editor.
Launch Paint Shop Pro. It will act like a fresh installation.
If deleting the registry folders does not fix the error completely uninstall/reinstall Paint Shop Pro
thanks :)
