Swish V2.01 PUBLIC Beta Release

In common with Macromedia and other major software companies Swish has released a beta version for public testing of its new V2.01 .

This may sound confusing :shocked: (no more than usual I hear you say).

To clarify what this is..well what it isn't, first. It ISN'T one of the free series of updates for those who have already purchased Swish 2, which I have mentioned before. It ALSO ISN'T the much vaunted (...well it is in some places..honest...vaunted I mean) all singing/dancing Version 3 release...no official comment on this (V.3) release date but due to the skill of beta testers :D :D (one of Richards inside jokes) it is on a back burner for a while at least.......

Now what it is.........features listed on the link page below, but all invited to join in. It's a true beta release so no support as such, DON't use for files you have alot of time invested in, you WON'T be able to open your old Swish V2 files in your present version of Swish after opening them in the beta version.

It is however a full version, preparing for release and a chance to do some REAL beta testing without being charged for the 'honour'. Don't expect it to be Flash MX, it isn't...but it is certainly a program 'on the up'

(this beta version will install to a seperate folder to your current version of Swish and will operate seperately, but read all notes & install instructions)

I'm currently testing & will try my best to point any here in the right direction for those who also do.

:shocked: Real men eat Director 8.5, but I scratch my claws on any tree that'll have me (wait till you see my new Shockwave game :D , its a cure for insomnia or a wake up call, same thing I guess, you kill a money grabbing bad guy with 2 faces...complete with photos of two faces.....its like the movie "Signs"....too scary to show at first.........I'm gonna run a competition for a name for him, if I call him Ourrr God or an anagram of Stoleitdidntyou it'll upset minorities, of which of course I'm one)

I use MX as you know but as a user entry prog, or hell as a quick text editor etc Swish is okay.

& as a long time beta tester, they treat me with respect, something which I was more than suprised to find is a rare thing. However after beta testing other products I realise the rare thing is the closed shop ignorance. Swish/Macromedia...Hell even Adobe Atmosphere ask their beta testers to report problems...that is the point of beta testing , yeah ?) I was asked to edit this bit by someone I respect above most. So I shall. & have. Suffice to say copyright has been violated by Mr Cuddly and his friend with two names/kk/Steve/Faces & we'll see who can huff & puff.


I deal in results.

Aint gonna spend my time excusing Swish lol, for the money & interface it rocks. A Tool Box contains tools, its what you do with them. I'll continue to add Flash movies that can enhance SWish.
