I need to upload changes today, however I read that I should NOT upload to the IP address...... I'm not quite clear on this.

I think this is what I've got WS_FTP set to as the upload destination at present....

ftp://mermaid1@207.44.150.33/ (showing in WS_FTP)

My initial RS account setup info as emailed to me shows this.....
NameServer: NS1.RIGHTSTUFFHOSTING.ORG 207.44.150.155
NameServer: NS2.RIGHTSTUFFHOSTING.ORG 207.44.150.33

What do I change in WS_FTP to have a successful upload of my updates today??

Appreciate the help, as always.

Wait for Helen or Fred to get back to you to clarify this. Helen asked that no uploading be done while they change servers. If you can, wait till Helen posts that the switch has been made, otherwise, if you must upload, you may loose somehing in the process. Your nameservers are correct as they are, no need to change them.

In ws_ftp where it says "host name" ( userID, passwd, account etc below it), you most likely have your ip number, change that to your domain name, ie, http://www.mysite.com.

If you don't have a domain name, put ..sue.rightstuffhosting.com instead of your current number.

Can you clarify - The addy you gave below is for transfering files directly from your server to others, where is that located? it should not be in your ws_ftp host name.

Flash.... Thanks for the reply.....

I've GOT to get this update online....but I'll wait till Helen posts that its cool to begin uploading again.

And thanks for your explanation about the ftp thing

I will take out the IP address and stick in my domain name and hopefully all will go as planned after that.
