Hi there. Great new site. I have a question about logging into the forum. I have logged in and checked off the box so I don't have to log in each time but it doesn't seem to be working for me. I still have to login each time.

Hi Terry, good to see you again!
I was just having the same problem.

I have the same problem. Nikki is looking into it. If I recall, I had to add a patch to the first version that we had.

Hi Fred,
I was going to edit my previous post but you had already answered. I was just trying to upload another avatar and I got a > warning: (well actually 5  ) failed to open stream: Permission denied > and a > cannot modify header information warning.
Sorry Officer, I promise I won't do ever do it again!

I figured out the logging in problem, but haven't figured out the avatar one yet. But I will!!

Nikki, check the permissions on the folder where the avatars are uploaded to. They need to be world-writable so the scripts can copy the image file from the temp directory on the server into the avatar directory (I forget what the directory name is).
Dusty,
I edited your post - you had "Disable Smilies in this post" checked down below in the Options section below where you type messages. I also edited your global preferences to enable smilies. That may automatically put a checkmark on your posts.
I see that you changed your Avatar so I guess the Avatar quirk as been rectified. I checked the Permissions like Mary suggested in her post and they all looked good. Nikki may have already changed them.
Officer Fred at your service.
