I am doing a SP promotion in conjunction with ElectricArtists for the the NEW episodes that will be airing soon. Part of the promotion are links to download an exclusive screensaver.
I put the links on my site and they work fine. I downloaded the Win version of the screensaver. In my display, it's listed, but when you preview it, it says: There is either not enough memory or the screensaver has been damaged and you should download it again. When you set the screensaver to come on ... you get the same message.
But ... if you go to the folder in Wins and access it directly, it plays just fine.
The screensaver is Flash 6.0. My question is ... how come it works from the file in Wins. and not from the display panel? Is there something that you have to adjust?
Could I get a couple of volunteers to download the screensaver from the link on my site and tell me if it works from their display panel?
Thanks. The download is at http://collectingsouthpark.com/A_Fun_Site_For.html
Download takes approx. 2-1/2 mins. on 56K, so it's pretty fast. Thanks,
guys!
ON EDIT: I went back into Wins and located the screensaver files. There is one that is Flash 6.0. If clicked. It starts the screensaver. And, there's another file (regular screensaver file), that when clicked opens the screensaver. I deleted the screensaver file. I went into the recycle bin and restored it. When I went into display panel screensaver, it was on the list, but was not installed at the default. I chose it from the list and NOW it works from the screensaver/control panel. Wierd, huh? I guess when it loads as the default, something gets messed up. But, I'm hoping that everyone who downloads it doesn't have to go through this whole song and dance!
