I'm updating an old site I have elsahaag.com and would appreciate initial comments. Still in layout mode, no clothes added, just going for an overall sixties, simple look. Does it load okay ?, timewise, is the music lag bad ? etc. please.

Well that certainly captures your attention and loads pretty quickly on my 56K. I like the way she dances behind a partition on the other pages too. That is cute and very clever. The music fits in just right for a young, modern clothing site.

Well done, Shane! :D

Two Thumbs UP!! :D

Loaded fine at 56k. Color and design definitely attention getting. Great music and I just love those bouncing buttons when clicked.

Really nice site, congrats!

She is actually dancing to the beat of the music, which I find very cool.

This is super.

Okie... this is done with Flash 5? MX? No Swish here, right?

Whatever it is, it's almost alive. :D

Syncing/music stream is in big boys toy Flash MX  (the streaming locks the main Swish file to sync. Oh yeah dancer done in Flash MX but groovin on the page in little boys toy  Swish (only joing wid ya Flash Ho :) )

So both Helen. Swish is there but it couldn't be done without MX. & it could be done in only MX....but it isn't lol, confusing myself now.........

Thanks for comments all, as always much, much appreciated.

I'm all for bouncing of any kind Richard

okaaaayyy... I get that, "sorta". :D

What all that means to me is, I need to stick with the premade ones that I can just paste in the page.

It's so .... so .... oh, what's the word I'm looking for ... Pepto Bismol. Sorry that's what that color pink reminds me of.

All seriousness aside, though ... that site ROCKS!!! Another great Shane moment. You guys and your FLASH impress the heck out of me! Loads REALLY fast on 56K. SUPER.

Great job, Shane!!!

Hi Shane,

Sorry about the PB crack. Actually, it wasn't meant in a negative way. But ... Pepto Bismol is this liquid stuff that you take when you have an upset tummy. It's thick and that exact color pink and it's like peppermint/chalky tasting and it's supposed to coat your stomach to prevent nausea. Delightful, huh?

Your site was great!!! It was a COLOR REFERENCE, that's all ... I swear, your honor! Like Fire Engine Red or Pea Green or Sky Blue ... oh well ... Guess my PhD won't help me here!!!

;)

LOL ... Mum's are like that! (Yeh, they are!) Actually, think about it this way ... PB's commercial says:

Take soothing, pink Pepto Bismol.

See? "Soothing". Puts a whole new light on "shocking pink", huh?

When one paints oneself into a corner, tis best to just sit quietly and listen to the paint dry!

WOW! Great site, Shane! It amazes me how fast it loads on a dial up! AWESOME work! You da man!!

Thank you Dawn,

It loads pretty quick because it's mainly vectors, the dancing girl was converted in Flash MX to vectors too and then imported into Swish one movement at a time and just runs along the timeline of a sprite (movie clips in Flash) with place/removes (keyframes in Flash), the smaller 'alpha' dancers are just repeats of her with slightly altered start points. A lot of the other vectors are just copied & pasted so each one loads once. The music is streamed so adds nothing...

Thanks for checking!!

p.s. the site update is now nearly done, except for smaller details and some thumnails...I think I'll be adding a custom cursor too as my great friend that cheeky Flash Ho suggested (as much as any site ever is finished...i.e. never.....(but its as much as I getting errr 'paid' for (its my brothers company so 'paid may not be the right word... and is online at http://www.elsahaag.com/ again thanks for checking all))
