I deleted the 3.. We still need to figure out about the code issue.

Yeah, I don't get it. The code in my post above should work. Haven't heard from Shane on this, He will probably know.
Thanks for 3 delete!

Did you install the Flash Mod (http://www.phpbb.com/mods/downloads/index.php?sid=822280192&t=sub_pages&cat=4) Fred? If you need help with it, I'm willing.

Why can't you use the code tag here for flash? That should work I would think
Mary B.

You can't use the html tags for flash because you have html disabled, which is a good thing. BBCode won't work because your scripts aren't configured to recognize the BBCode for flash.

Isn't there a bit of a security risk with Flash footers on boards ? I'm not 100% on this, but I know Flashkit have them turned off on their new boards for this reason.

Hey Shane, that must have been some move... you look different! (but still good looking!) :D
I guess it is a BIG security risk, so maybe we will need to just link to the flash files... a big disappointment, but better than having some kiddie-hacker-spammer take advantage and crash us.

Lol on the good looking, amazing what a bit of peroxide can do...okay its not peroxide, my hair went white when I got the new apartment invoice...thought I'd show Magnum Opus what a real disguise is though lol............
I think linking is fine, keep the script kiddies away.
& if file sizes are big, just bogs down the board.....

Thought I'd say "Hey" to you guys since this is the only place I can talk to you!
Shane - Like the "do" Preference Shameless Blonde 314 with just a hint of Winter White 212 -- nice choice! ;) Or, is that the new Maxim stuff that they show girls licking on TV. That commercial is sooooooooooo bad!
Shane

Thanks (on the site) ...
Think I'll have to forego the custom window script for the 1024 tho ... for some strange reason, folks have this affinity for their navigation bars and go nutz when they don't have one. And, if they x out by mistake and are left on that blank page, they panic!!! But, I can see the point ... I guess. The good news is that my site is perfectly centered in 1024 x 768 if you just keep your favorites open. Also provides a great little hint (bookmark me!)
Shane
10-05-2002, 05:50 PM
Don't blame you for losing the window I'm gonna get rid of it too lol, same reasons...I might go 1024 only though just for that site, most of the viewers are 1024 & someone gotta move that way...and after all the work I did doing it lol.....was gonna ask if you were gonna use & tell you I'm ditching it...aww well................Just been looking at your site in 1024, looks great..

I was debating about the counter. Yeh, it's history. :|
Helen
10-05-2002, 06:08 PM
Can you make an invisible counter?
I think you can do that with Bravenet counters... but maybe you have to
pay, or their logo would show up?
Bet someone knows a good way to do an invisible counter you can access
for a quick check... for times when you don't want to go through all your
stats reports right then.
Shane, we're gonna have to get Fred to grab this guy's  cousin
from the other board,
Shane
10-05-2002, 06:15 PM
Great Helen, I was missing him.........
You usually have to pay for invisible counters, unless you cheat & that would be very wrong & you'd be damned to hell........wouldn't you ?

Actually, Helen, I only used the counter FOR the stats ... not for the counter. I don't care if 10 or 10,000 people come to my site, as long as they get something out of it. I think if I had a business I might be more concerned about numbers.
A couple of places have the invisible counters, but usually you have to pay. Actually, I forgot that we had all the stats for our site on RS. DUH! That's basically all I need. I usually check for SE referrals and keywords and also where others are being referred from. So, I'm covered.
Going over my bandwidth ... who cares about that? Uh, well, maybe you would. But, you'll have to catch me first ... and I can run pretty fast for an old fart! :walking: Then, again ... maybe not!
