File Question

Hi Fred and Helen..and Everyone,

If I move around some files and folders on any of my CD-R Disks, sometimes I end up with the Thumbs.db file, what is it, and what purpose does it serve, I can delete them no problem, but how can they be stopped from even appearing ?

As far as I know the thumbs.db is created when you view a folders contents as just that, thumbnails. The .db file is created each time. Delete them, as you know, with no worries. A new one is created each time you view a folders contents as thumbnails. I don't think there is a way to disable the .db file without disabling the feature of viewing the folders contents as thumbnails.
