making new fonts

Is anybody here into making their own true type fonts? I'm having trouble making them look good in the small pt sizes like 10 or 12. The kids and I are drawing fonts and scanning them. Hard to come up with original ideas.
Got any advice? :roll:

true type fonts at 10 or 12 will look blurry because of the antialias applied to them when they are used as text. You can turn them into gif's to rid them of aunt alias or .make fonts as "pixel fonts" to be used as small type so they won't look like this. ( size 7) That line says " make fonts as "pixel fonts" to be used as small type"

Well, I found a forum and they suggest scanning the glyphs as bitmat, and apply some kerning. By the time I figure it all out, the 30 day free trial software will expire :roll:

No comment on Dusty's size preference. :|
