Hi Shawn,

I just checked your account. You only have 1 MB of unused web space
left, and your bandwidth usage is 273MB over your allotment. We do allow
some leeway but you have used that up too.

So you either need to slow down your traffic, uploading or whatever is
causing it. Or, you need to upgrade to an account that will acommodate
your needs.

The size site you have is not intended for such heavy graphics or much
traffic downloading (viewing) them. If you have any music that is a hog
too. Maybe you need to talk to your Dad about an upgrade... we're very reasonable. :)

Helen, do you know any webhosts that offer about the same features as RightStuffHosting?

I can't go to my cpanel so i was wondering if you knew how much bandwith you offered for the free 10 MB i'm in?

Helen

Yes Shawn. The free account is 10 MB wb space and 500 MB bandwidth. I gave you an extra 273. :)

Shawn, if you get into your cpanel, see how much traffic you are getting. If it isn't traffic, then it could be stuff on your server that you are not using or large graphics. I can help you optimize your graphics if you want.

Which upgrade do i need to get my site back online with RSH? And how much would it cost?

Helen

Shawn, you can get into your site now so that Richard can help you figure out what you need to do. It will be open over the weekend for you.

I'm sending you a private message :)

Flash - He is using 9.50 megs of the allotted 10.0 meg space was used.
Broadband usage this month 773.09 - Max allotted for his site is suppose to be 500. Helen allowed an extra 250 to help out. That extra room has already been exceeded. I don't know if graphics are the problem - they were there before. Music or traffic??

Hi SHawn,
Images aren't taking up much space, BUT you have 18 video's on there!and they have at least 2 versions each, some have 6 versions each.

Some ideas, ditch vids and create links to espn site and where ever else the vids came from.

convert your vids to flash mx, so they will stream better and only use 1/4th of bandwidth. I could do a couple for you, but not till next weekend.

create a new single unique video, stitched from the others, again I would love to do this, but really don't have the time.

btw, did you get permission to use those vids? I would like to use some for a future project, no an AI project. just curious. not passing judgement.

Well i don't know how the videos are taking up all of the space. They are all linked to NBA.com. They aren't on my server.

Duh, I should have checked your source before making that assumption. So, videos are not the problem. Looks like you have a popular site, requiring more bandwidth.

I see you used Dreamweaver. cool
