I don't care what I do I can't seem to get a page (just one that says I'm not here or something like that) to upload. I tried the WS_FTP and the control panel. I did a page in WS and in PSP. I don't get any error sounds/messages, who knows where I'm sending stuff.
Thanks
I hope Crystal reads this. She's definitely not the only one who needs help, ugh!
I thought I could copy what the "webmistress" did for me, but that didn't work.

Hi Dusty,
I just took a look... it looks like you're putting things in the right place...
the public_html folder. That is the only one you need to upload files into.
There are images, but no htm or html pages uploaded yet. In WS, you
need the little house by the page you want visitors to see first when they
come to your site... it has to be named index.htm (that will be in your WS
Preview folder) or index.html (that will be in your WS Upload folder).
If the page is actually an image itself (you said you made one in PSP ?),
someone more versed in PSP than me will need to tell you how to make it
into an html page. I would just put it on a new page in WS, put the house
by the page name to make it my index page :).
I have not used the WS upload feature, so I can't help you with that. If
you use WSFTP, you can send the htm or html file and it's whole folder
over to the remote (right) side.
It might be easier to help you if we knew more about where you're having
the problem. Have you seen Sam's WSftp movie?
The File Manager is a bit more trouble because you can't upload a folder.
You have to create a folder in the public_html directory, with the exact
same name as the WS one, then upload the page's graphic files into it.
Hang in there, kiddo, we'll get you squared away. It is always a bit
confusing at first. But then it is a breeze after that. :)

Hi Fudgh,
I hope you don't mind... I put these into your public_html folder:
index.html, tempindex.gif and SPACER.GIF
Nothing great like your work is, but it's something there till you get yours
uploaded. Just put your index.html where this one is, and the folder with
your page's graphics if you made it in WS. Your new index.html will
overwrite this one, so don't worry about deleting it.
You can just delete the tempindex.gif and SPACER.GIF when you have
uploaded your new page and it's graphics folder into the Public_html folder. :D

Thank you so much Helen. No of course I don't mind. That was so nice of you to take the time. :bear:
I'm going to go work on it some more.
