Hi Everyone,

I am back with yet ANOTHER email problem. I just got DSL, and with that came a new email account. I am able to add a POP account to my primary email, so that I can send and receive messages through it. I use "Horde" with my WebMail, but don't get around to checking it that often. As a result, I just went in there and had to sort through over 150 messages.

I have my email forwarders and catch alls to send mail to my primary address, however, it's not working out that way b/c there was so much in my Horde box that never made it to my primary email. And a lot of them SHOULD have been forwarded there.

So in order to configure my new mail client to check, and retreive, my WebMail, what are the pop settings to do that?

THANK YOU for your time,

Corrina

Hi Corrina... we've missed you!

I just checked your default email setting (the one that is your account
user name) and changed it... its only purpose is to catch unrouted mail,
which is sent to fake addresses at your domain and is almost always
from "spam machines". You should not use or give that email address to
anyone, just your other two email addresses (or more) should be used.

If I understand correctly, you want to get all your mail at your new DSL
mailbox? If so, you could just change the forwarding on the two good
Horde email addresses to your DSL email address.

Since I'm really not sure what you want to do, check out the new support
page. It may be helpful and if you want to use Outlook, or a similar email
client... I just added some email tutorials and a lot more:

Let us know if that doen't solve the problem. :)

Hi Helen!

Thank you for your response... it was EXACTLY what I needed. I was kind of in a hurry when I left my last post, so perhaps that's why I wasn't as clear on what I was trying to do. You're awfully good to have figured out exactly what I was trying to do!

That new tut is WONDERFUL. I wanted to configure my WebMail like you would for Outlook, only for my Yahoo account. They have an "auto config" feature for Outlook, but not for any other and I needed the exact settings it uses.

Thank you, again, for you assistance. I'm off now to get my account set up correctly so that I can get all my mail.

:D
