Does anybody know how to make the counters in the Cpanel work. Has anyone added one to their page in WS? I must be doing something wrong. Found the one I wanted. Got the code. Put it in WS page using the HTML object and all I get on preview is an "x" where the graphic should be.

Are there any folders that need to be manually created on my server, or is the counter file created when the counter is activated on the page?

Is it, maybe, something that works when uploaded to the Internet and not in Preview?

Also, when adding to the HTML object, do I have to include anything other than the code?

ON EDIT: OK, well, answered my own question. Doesn't work in preview, but kicks in when uploaded. :D

I see you got your own answer - :D I was about to say that I use the counter on GNOBFA and have no problem but it will not display in Preview. I use HTML_Kit to hardcode. I guess WS must work the same - must be live.

Hey Fred,

THANKS!!! Usually, I struggle along for like 2 hours. Then, I finally post the question. Then, about 2 secs. later I get it to work!! Story of my "cronny" life!!!! btw ... I'm scared to even go near that cronjob thingie now. After those 900 emails ... whew!! Best leave that one to folks who know what they are doing. Putting the code in the index has worked great, tho. There's just enough foot traffic in the auction to keep the gears cranking.

One of the counters was the "perfect" color and texture combination for my site. I went without for a while, but it's always nice to see how much traffic you are getting. I think this site is getting more traffic than any of my others did, when they were new.
